Hadley/Philemon will be hosting it’s 5th annual Relay for Life event on May 22nd from 7pm-7am May 23rd this year. This is a student led, 12-hour overnight event hosted at the school on the backfield where students come together to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. The registration fee is $20 per student which includes; a late dinner (around 8pm), snacks and breakfast, a t-shirt, a luminary and access to all the fun events & activities throughout the night. In addition, in order to make a big impact, each student is asked to raise a minimum of $50 for the CCS – this can be done through online fundraising on the students personal page, or through cash donations collected with a Relay for Life Cash collection envelope. Any students opting to collect cash – must use the Relay for Life cash collection envelope that can be picked up from our registration table in the front lobby every Wednesday at lunch. Students must register for the event by creating an account at www.relayforlife.ca/philemon – the $20 registration fee can either be paid online when completing the online registration OR by bringing $20 cash to the registration table at lunch on Wednesdays. Our goal this year is to raise $60,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, if you would like to volunteer for the event, or sponsor our event in any way, or if you simply have any questions, please send Katie Campbell an email at kcampbell@wqsb.qc.ca
