This year Destination Imagination focused on “The Thrill Ride”, a difficult Engineering Challenge undertaken by the ‘Cosmic Cows’. This awesome team made up of 7 Hadley students, Alia Alnajjar, Belle Harrison, Cora Lange, Carleigh Woodstock, Clara Bilodeau, Louisiana-Mae Saucier and Maeve Murphy, created a remarkable solution to the challenge at hand. The ‘Cosmic Cows’ excelled at both Set and Costume Design, and through painstaking trial and error the team built an incredible cosmic roller coaster, whose accompanying storyline found extraterrestrial cows searching for their bovine messiah and a new Cow-topia. Teamwork, dedication, creativity and hard work helped bring the ‘Cosmic Cows’ a well- deserved First Place result at the 2023 Regional Championships, and Team Manager Mr. Swann couldn’t be more proud of them all.
I was taken aback to be honoured at the tournament with the “Jim Shea Builders Certificate” which proudly recognizes my outstanding effort and support in encouraging Destination Imagination, and commitment to our Team.
