The Hadley-Philemon Band is the flagship instrumental group of the school, conducted by Dr. Ausman and Ms. Olberg. We offer wind ensemble playing for students from grades 7-11 in a variety of instruments including woodwinds, brass and percussion. The band is comprised of approximately 50 students and rehearsals take place twice per week: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm-5pm, September to May of every school year. We welcome all students who share a passion for music, whether they have experience or not. There is only one primary requirement to join–a commitment to practice and teamwork!

We are proud of the saxophone and percussion players from the Philemon Wright Band who also study on Saturday morning with the OYOA Saxophone Ensemble. They won 2nd place in Canada in the CBC Music Class Challenge for arranging and performing “Call Me Maybe.” Congratulations to Olivia Tan, Jack Scott, Ethan O’Malley, Ethan Fyhn, Sawyer Sanford, and Ennio Khoury on your accomplishment!”
